Fancy Dress Competition helps the children in building their imagination. They learn to imitate the mannerisms of the object or character, they are dressed up as. It helps them practice different emotions and also develops their vocabulary.
To enhance creativity, imagination and building confidence, an fancy dress competition was conducted for the tiny tots of UKG by KidZone of St. Xavier’s High School on 16th Aug. 2022. The students participated in huge numbers and showcased their versatility.
Each section had a different theme and the children had come prepared accordingly. The various themes of the competition were people of different states of India, Fruits and Vegetables, Birds and Animals, Community helpers & Famous Personalities.
All the students were creatively dressed up and took part with great enthusiasm. They all looked vibrant in their colorful costumes and played their parts confidently. It was a delight from start to finish with children, in array of glittering costumes including that of a pineapple, corn, rabbit, giraffe, teacher, fish seller, Rai Laxmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Punjabi, Marathi, and various other characters, mouthing famous dialogues and left the audience and judges enthralled. The Judges Mrs. Supriya Lucy and Purnima Rani Ashutosh had a very difficult time in deciding the winners, but what matters most in such events is not winning or losing participation.
The objective of the competition was met as students learned more about various topics and it helped them build their language skills and confidence.
