Description: The scholastic and co-scholastic activities have an equal importance in school programmes for the all round development of the children. Keeping this in view, Kidzone, the pre-primary wing of St. Xavier’s High School conducted a Fancy Dress Competition for the children of UKG on 4th August, 2023.
Fancy Dress Competition is a fun activity which greatly benefits children especially in the foundation years for building their imagination, creativity and confidence. Each section of UKG had a different theme with two common themes. The children displayed their talents on the given themes. They were dressed – up like farmers, milkman, tribals of Jharkhand, food items (like popcorn, Maggi, etc.) different fruits and vegetables, flowers inspiring personalities like Bhagat Singh, Rani Laxmi Bai and so on. The children participated in Fancy Dress competition in huge numbers.
It was a pleasure to watch the toddlers dressed up according to different themes. Their different and unique style of costumes and dialogues left the audience and judges enthralled Mrs. Shagufta Parveen and Miss Suchita Noel judged the competition. Our Principal Rev. Fr. K.P. Dominic, S.J. encouraged the students to participate in various types of competition organized by the school. Fr. Junas Kujur, S.J., Vice-Principal was also present to motivate the children.
