Description: Let borders becomes sunlight so we traverse this earth as one nation and drive the darkness out. There was a workshop conducted for the teachers on 23rd September, 2023 in St. Xavier Hall. It was organized by Patna Peace Mission and Jyoti Maitri Sangam, Bodhgaya. The workshop began with the prayer song by Mrs Sunita Sinha followed by welcome address by Father Principal. It was followed by an address by Fr (Dr)Lawrence Eucharist, Director of Maitri Sangam, Bodhgaya. The resource person of this workshop were scholars like Prof. Ramesh Chandra Sinha, Venerable Ratna, Fr (Dr) Jose Kalapura, director of Patna Peace Mission. Shri Gurdayal Singh of Patna City and Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed former director of Khuda Baksh Oriental Public Library. Professor Ramesh Chandra enlightened us on the contributions of Hinduism to India's growth . Then he emphasized on the fact that the educators are spiritual gurus who have to ensure students are on the right path. Venerable Thero threw light on the contributions of Buddhism to India's growth. Buddhism has had profound impact on India's growth. Many evil practices were prevalent in the society during that time. The monasteries acted as centers of learning. Their contributions in the field of astronomy, medicine, architecture and Indian literature are notable. Their principles of non-violence and compassion have played a significant role in promoting peace and harmony. Mindfulness and meditation that lead to our mental and emotional well-being is a significant contribution of Buddhism. Monasteries served as repositories of knowledge preserving ancient texts and manuscripts. Fr (Dr) Jose Kalapun Kalapura enlightened us on the contributions of Christianity in the field of education, health social service printing language, literature, defence services, sports and journalism are noteworthy. They have made significant contribution in promoting education through various schools colleges and Universities. Shri Gurudayal Singh threw light on the contributiona of Sikhism to India's growth. Sikhism emphasizes on three principles – “Do Work” “Distribute” and “Bow to God”. By working we can serve God. They believe in oneness and universal brotherhood. Finally Dr Imtiaz Ahmed emphasized upon the contributions of Islam to India's growth. Their contributions in the land revenue system, centralized polity, new form of currency, national movement, intellectual and cultural development, promotion of inter-faith dialogue, tolerance, code of conduct etc. has impacted India's growth to a great extent. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Kumud Henry, the coordinator of high school.
