Description: In a spirited celebration of knowledge, understanding and unity, the LTS club
held PowerPoint Presentation Contest on September 29, 2023 in the Xavier
Hall. It was based on the theme of the academic year 2023-2024, 'Education
For Reconciliation'. The event not only showcased the intellectual prowess of
the members but also highlighted the pivotal role played by education in
fostering harmony and reconciliation in diverse societies. The event, graced by
esteemed judges Dr. Punam Gupta, the animator of LTS Club, and Mr. Ravindra
Kumar, a dedicated Computer teacher, provided a platform for the students to
articulate their visions of a harmonious future.
The event commenced with a warm and inspiring welcome speech by Dhruv
Suman of class IX ‘C’ that set the tone for the day. The words, eloquently
delivered, resonated with the eager participants and esteemed guests, fuelled
the atmosphere with anticipation and intellectual energy. Students eloquently
delved into the fundamental values integral to ‘Education for reconciliation’.
Such a competition was being held first time in the school. It gave us an
opportunity to learn though it was difficult to prepare and present.
The participants were supposed to present their ideas in fifteen slides. They
were adjudged on theme, content, presentation, technical application and
overall impression. The presentation highlighted the theme under three
subheadings:-
i Reconciliation with God , ii Reconciliation within Humanity and iii
Reconciliation with Creation.
They further emphasised the theme by explaining the meaning, the role played
by school in fostering such values and how it will help society at large.
The school holds many cultural programmes like Inter religious prayer service,
dramas, dance, practice examination of conscience are a few to mention.
They emphasized empathy, understanding, and tolerance as foundational
pillars. Compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance were highlighted as essential
virtues that can bridge the gap between cultures, religions, and nations. The
presentations underscored the significance of education in nurturing these
values, enabling individuals to embrace diversity and promote peace.
The moment we all had been anxiously awaiting finally arrived. The
atmosphere was charged with excitement as Mr. Ravindra Kumar took the
stage to announce the winners.

exemplified the transformative power of education in fostering reconciliation.
It gives us a chance to learn new things and lead others, the aim of LTS.
Education is not just of acquiring knowledge, it's about shaping compassionate,
empathetic individuals who can lead us toward a future defined by unity
and understanding. As the applause filled the hall, the audience left with a
profound sense of optimism. The PowerPoint Presentation Contest had not
only showcased the brilliance of its students but had also reinforced the belief
that education, when rooted in empathy and understanding, can pave the way
for a more reconciled and harmonious world.
