Description: Teaching is a real art. According to Albert Einstein '' It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. '' A two days workshop on facilitating learning environment was organised in St. Xavier's school. It was very successfully conducted by the two Resource persons, Dr. Madhu Singh and Ms. Sapna Suman. They are the faculty members of St. Xavier's College of Education, Patna. On the first day , 7/3/2017 it started at 8.30 with Bloom's Taxonomy followed by Teaching Skills-----Set Induction, Reinforcement, Teaching Skills, Stimulus Variation, Questioning Skills, Use of Black Board and Skill of Closure. The teachers were divided in different groups according to their subjects and were asked to present set induction for their class. They all enjoyed discussing and doing that. On the second day, 8/3/2017, it again started at the same time with a short prayer. Teachers were taught Innovative Teaching Methods,Integration of Instructional Media and finally a model class was presented by Dr. Madhu Singh. More of practical learning took place on the second day. Teachers saw many improvised teaching aids which were made by low cost materials or of waste items but its use was really awesome. We could see the difference in teaching with these aids which made the teaching learning easy and interesting. Though all the teachers were familiar with the theories taught as they had studied it at their B. Ed level yet its application through different innovative ways made the session very active and lively. It was a time for them to rediscover themselves as students who face problems in the class and even know how to give solutions to it. Amid so much of work it was really a very fruitful step to have such a workshop for teachers to guide them and facilitate them in their work as the new academic session is going to start very soon. The cooperation of the teachers and the Management was praiseworthy. The credit goes to the School Management which facilitates the learning of students with the up gradation of the knowledge of the teachers because only an ignited mind can kindle the fire of knowledge.
